BREAKING Santioned Cardinal Becciu Renounces Claim to Conclave Participation

Cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu, who had previously asserted his right to attend the conclave, has announced he will obey the will of the late Pope Francis, renouncing his participation in the conclave to elect a new Pope, which begins on May 7.
In 2023, at a financial Vatican trial which lasted over two years, Cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu, age 76, was sentenced by the Vatican court to five years and six months imprisonment, perpetual disqualification from public office, and an eight thousand euro fine (approx. $8,000). Becciu has consistently maintained his innocence. Penalty fines were also given to defendants Di Ruzza and Brülhart, while Monsignor Carlino is acquitted. Penalties given to defendants Tirabassi, Torzi, Crasso and Marogna.
