Seventh Again on the 7th consecutive day crowds join to pray the Rosary in the Vatican's St. Peter's Square for the healing of Pope Francis. Leading the prayer was the Cardinal Almoner who prayed to the Virgin Mary to support the Pontiff in this moment of illness.

For a week now, faithful from all over the world have gathered in front of St. Peter's Basilica, with cardinals, bishops and members of the Curia to pray for the health of the Pope, who has been hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic since February 14th. "Let us pray together with the whole Church for the health of the Holy Father Francis. May the Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, support him at this time" was the invitation that the Cardinal Almoner, Konrad Krajewski, Prefect of the Dicastery for Charity, addressed to all those who came for the seventh Rosary for the Pontiff.
On March 2, when the Glorious Mysteries are prayed, the crowd gathered again in St. Peter's Square, after having participated yesterday inside the Basilica due to the rain, which today gave way to a clear sky. From the illuminated stage the reader announced the Mysteries and then read the Gospel from Luke. Cardinal Krajewski led the prayer, reciting the first part of the Our Father, which the assembly then completed in one voice, continuing with the dozens of Hail Marys. In the crowd of faithful, who evening after evening, in all weather conditions, showed up in large numbers daily, one could see children wrapped in hats and scarves, priests, nuns, and Jubilee volunteers. Some of the faithful held candles in their hands and on the stage the image of the Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, adorned with white flowers moved by the wind, watched over the square. The assembly intoned the Gloria al Padre, as well as the litanies and the concluding Salve Regina. The moment of recollection concluded with the singing of the prayer Oremus pro Pontifice , which every night is accompanying the Pope in this moment of trial.
