Pope Francis says "May the Holy Spirit inspire us and strengthen in us the courage and joy to proclaim in unison the Gospel of hope" to Evangelicals

Address delivered by the Holy Father
Dear brothers and sisters, welcome!
I welcome you as children of the same Father and brothers in Christ, by whose wounds we have been healed; and as companions on the pilgrimage of faith, charity and hope.
In welcoming you as representatives of the Rom Baptist Evangelical Mission in Italy, I would like to send a fraternal greeting to all the members of the Rom people and to those you serve daily. I would like that by welcoming this greeting we renew the common certainty that nothing and no one can ever separate us from the love of God. And may this certainty make us credible witnesses through active charity, through some experiences of sharing prayer and service. May the Holy Spirit inspire us and strengthen in us the courage and joy to proclaim in unison the Gospel of hope, especially to the Roma communities.
Fraternal collaboration among Christians is in itself a sign, a testimony, the first instrument of evangelization for the benefit of all. And, in mysterious ways, the unity of action inspired by the Gospel brings us closer to the full unity of faith, through mutual knowledge and esteem.
Dear brothers and sisters, as we prepare to celebrate Holy Christmas, may our common earthly pilgrimage be marked by the words of the Psalmist: “Hope in the Lord, be strong, take courage, and wait for the Lord” (Ps 27:14).
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your visit. And I invite you to pray together the prayer that Jesus taught us. Our Father…
