Wow America's Next Top Model Sara Racey-Batraville a Former Contestant becomes Catholic!

'America's Next Top Model' candidate becomes Catholic "I was so unhappy," says Sara Racey-Batraville. Her mother entrusted her to the Mother of God - and it worked.
New York (kath.net) At the age of 24, Sara Racey-Batraville became a contestant on "America's Next Top Model". She achieved fame and wealth - but still felt empty and dissatisfied. She lived with her husband and son in New York City for 15 years before moving to Arizona. During her time in New York City, she developed a severe eating disorder, Racey-Batraville said in an exclusive interview. She worked out constantly and became extremely thin. "I was making a lot of money and was unhappy at the same time," she said. "I was just so unhappy!"
The cause for her joining the Catholic Church was the attack on Virginia Tech, which she saw on television. It was then that she felt the impulse to "Wake up!" She ran to the nearest Catholic church, the "Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church" in Manhattan. "Something told me: 'Go and find a church. Go back home,'" she recalls. "Shortly after that, I started going to Mass again." Her life "changed dramatically." Racey-Batraville admits that she owes this change to the prayers of her mother, who implored Our Lady to intercede for her daughter.
