Father Fabrício Rodrigues, age 29, a young Catholic priest, who had been actively evangelizing on social media with half a million followers on Instagram, died in an accident in Brazil.
The priest known on Instagram for his evangelization work passed away on Thursday night, 12, after a motorcycle accident in São João do Araguaia.

The Diocese of Marabá mourned the death of Father Fabrício Rodrigues saying:
It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Father Fabrício Rodrigues, which occurred today, September 13.
Known on the Internet for his great joy, he leaves an inspiring legacy.

The Diocese of Marabá issued a statement announcing the death of Father Fabricio Rodrigues. The priest, known for his evangelization work on social media, died on the evening of Thursday the 12th, around 9 pm, victim of a motorcycle accident. The vehicle collided with a horse in Vila 1º de Março, in São João do Araguaia (PA).
“We are united in prayer and hope that God will welcome him into heaven and grant him eternal rest,” wrote the diocesan bishop, Dom Vital Corbellini.
The wake is taking place at the Bom Pastor Parish. The funeral mass was at 3:00 p.m. and the body was transferred to the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Church — part of the Sagrada Família Parish — at 4:00 p.m. On Saturday, at 8:00 a.m., there will be another mass and then the burial at the Saudade Cemetery.
