Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, age 21, won the Wimbledon final of 2024. Alcaraz is a devout Catholic and visited the Mexican Marian pilgrimage site of Guadalupe in 2023. He reported on this visit on Instagram at the end of November and published four photos. With over 300,000 likes, he received a lot of approval. In one of the photos he can be seen at the entrance with a rose in his hand. Many pilgrims bring roses as an offering to the Mother of God. In other pictures the tennis star can be seen in front of the miraculous image of the Mother of God.
Carlos Alcaraz became the youngest number 1 in the world rankings in 2022 with his victory at the US Open. With his tournament victories at Wimbledon in 2023 and the French Open in 2024, he became the youngest player to win a Grand Slam tournament for all three events.
