#BreakingNews Catholic Bishop Guerrero is Assaulted and Robbed in Mexico

Monsignor Gonzalo Alonso Calzada Guerrero, Bishop of the Diocese of Tehuacán, Mexico, was assaulted on a highway. According to local reports he did not suffer any type of injury, only the theft of his truck and other belongings.

The Diocese of Tehuacán informed through a statement that Bishop Gonzalo Alonso Calzada Guerrero is in good health condition and has already filed a criminal complaint, after being robbed of his vehicle and belongings.

The incident occurred on the road, a few kilometers from the town of San Martín Atexcal. It is known that the bishop's vehicle is a white Mitsubishi pickup truck, model 2023, with license plates SP49527, which was intercepted by unknown subjects.
The criminals were traveling aboard a white Explorer-type pickup truck, they were armed and stopped the bishop, then robbed him of the vehicle and other valuables.
After achieving their goal, the thieves fled and abandoned Calzada Guerrero in the middle of the road, so he had to walk to San Martín Atexcal to ask for help.

During the morning of Tuesday, July 23, Monsignor Gonzalo Alonso Calzada Guerrero, Bishop of Tehuacan, while traveling in his vehicle to a community to celebrate the patronal feast, was assaulted, being robbed of his vehicle and personal belongings. Thanks to God, Monsignor Gonzalo Alonso was unharmed and has filed the corresponding complaint.
Let us thank God and our Blessed Mother who always accompany him, for caring for him and protecting him. But let us continue to pray for peace in our country, for all the brothers who face these situations every day, for the families who are hurt and violated in their resources, that they find comfort and strength, but let us also pray for these brothers who hurt families so much so that God moves their hearts to conversion.
