The Holy Father has appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Quebec (Canada) the Rev. Juan Carlos Londoño, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Medellín (Colombia), until now a fidei donum priest in the Diocese of Gaspé, assigning him the titular See of Beatia.

Bishop Juan Carlos Londoño was born on April 3, 1974 in Medellín, Colombia. He attended the Seminario Conciliar de Medellin and the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin. Furthermore, he knows sign language and the native Micmac language.
He was ordained a priest on November 24, 2001 for the Archdiocese of Medellin.
