#BreakingNews Historic St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy, is Vandalized by Climate Activists with Nesquik and Mud



Climate activists in Venice poured mud and Nesquik outside of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy. Reportedly, as a form of peaceful protest. They cited the threat of rising sea levels on Venice, the mudslides that have destroyed Italian communities, and Pope Francis' call to protect the environment.
The Last Generation movement are calling for a 20 billion euro “reparation fund” to compensate Italians for climate-related damage. The activists were detained by police.
The Mayor of Venice was quoted by the city's FB Page:

This morning the blitz of climate activists who smeared the outside of the Basilica of San Marco in #Venice appears to have been done with liquid mixed with mud.

💬Luigi Brugnaro: “Enough is enough, it is legitimate to express your dissent, but always respecting the law and our cultural and religious heritage. Our City takes concrete actions to protect the environment. Vandalism is certainly not the correct method to find solutions."
