Pope Francis Cancels his planned Trip to Dubai, UAE, for the COP28 Climate Summit, due to his Poor Health Condition
The Holy See released that Pope Francis had to cancel his trip to Dubai, UAE, due to his ill health. They wrote:
Even though the general clinical picture of the Holy Father in relation to the state of influenza and inflammation of the respiratory tract has improved, the doctors have asked the Pope not to make the trip planned for the next few days to Dubai, on the occasion of the 28th Conference of the Parties for United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Pope Francis accepted the doctors' request with great regret and the trip was therefore cancelled.
As the Pope and the Holy See remain willing to be part of the discussions taking place in the coming days, the ways in which this can be implemented will be defined as soon as possible.
