Pope Francis greets a 106-year-old woman and a sick girl in Lisbon

In the Nunciature, this morning, the meeting with Maria da Conceição Brito Mendonça, born on the day of the apparitions of Fatima, and with Edna Pina Lopes Rodrigues, suffering from a serious illness.

She was introduced as: 
-Grandma Maria da Conceição.
-Maria da Conceição.
-She has wanted to meet a young pope, 20 years younger than her.

A double meeting, this morning, of the Pope in the Apostolic Nunciature of Lisbon. Pope Francis briefly met a 106-year-old lady, Maria da Conceição Brito Mendonça, born on day of the apparitions of Fatima, May 13, 1917.

This was reported by the Vatican Press Office, informing that, immediately afterwards, Francis greeted the young Edna Pina Lopes Rodrigues, who suffers from a serious illness and to whom the Pope himself had sent a message of affection and prayer last June.
