Parents of a Priest from Cuba are Robbed and Attacked with a Machete

A priest from Cuba released on his Facebook page that his parents were robbed and attacked with a machete. The attack occurred on June 6th and involved three younger men entering the home. In Cuba, violence on the rise.

Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba, Dionisio García, wrote about the incident, "Let us also ask God so that this escalation of violence, and the difficult situation we are experiencing, may separate from our people, that the honest and safe life that we need and deserve, may take over our cities and homes."

My parents survived the attack with multiple blows. My dad was the most affected, he received a machete in the head and he is still in the hospital waiting more than 3 hours ago for an ambulance to transfer him from the Clinical-Surgical Hospital to the Provincial Hospital of Santiago de Cuba. Neither ambulance nor neurosurgeon to take care of him right now!
Facts: In the middle of the night my mom gets up to drink water. In the kitchen you can see three skinny, masked young men eating from the fridge each carrying a machete. Among the assailants is an individual who by characteristics seems to be a teenager. My mom was violently attacked when they found out. He manages to escape the edge of the machete, but not the kicks that resulted from lying on the floor between the showcase and the dining room table. Between the screams for help my dad stood up without realizing it was happening and in a matter of seconds the three individuals pounce on him and hit him and tip him a machete on the head. Off they go running...
We still don't know the condition of my dad in the hospital right now. We are waiting for a miracle.

My parents are doing well thank you God and your prayers.
My mom only blows without major injuries according to medical examination conducted. My dad is already recovering after the surgery. The impact on the head does not appear to have been seriously affected, but its subsequent evolution is under observation.
