Pope Francis will be Represented by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin at the Coronation of King Charles III.

Also, the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, along with the Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain will both be attending the ceremony.

King Charles III had previously visited Pope Francis in 2017 and 2019. To celebrate the coronation, Pope Francis gifted a relic of the True Cross, which will be featured prominently at the coronation ceremony.

His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State, will represent Pope Francis at the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III in Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May 2023.
