#BreakingNews Catholic Priest Killed in Mexico - RIP Father Javier García Villafaña

The Office of the Attorney General of the State of Michoacán is investigating the murder of Father Javier García Villafaña, which occurred on Monday, May 22, 2023 in the municipality of Huandacareo. 

The Catholic Bishops of Mexico released a statement of sadness and solidarity with the community. According to the local press, the priest, parish priest of Santa Ana Maya, was found dead on the Capacho-Cuitzeo highway, shot dead, on the road leading to the community of Capacho to which he belonged. The State Attorney General's office is investigating the murder.
