#BreakingNews Senator Julie Slama, of Nebraska, Reports Vandalism of St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse
St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse, Nebraska, was vandalized on March 31, 2023. On April 1st the altar was discovered on the ground, a statue desecrated, and many other objects damaged. The pastor, Father Ryan Salisbury said,
"Times like this, we will unite with Our Lord and grow stronger. It’s almost fitting this happened at the start of Holy Week. Our Lord’s own Holy Week was marked by injustice, brokenness and damage to his body; but through it all He conquered and brought about Resurrection. In some unique way we are being called to embrace the injustice, brokenness, and damage to our Lord’s body (His Church located here in Syracuse) to allow Our Lord to transform this time and make it new by the power of His Resurrection."
Senator Julie Slama, of Nebraska, a convert to the faith, reported the vandalism; "Andrew and I are members of St. Paulinus Parish (Holy Trinity). We hope you’ll join us in prayer and thoughts of healing for those who worship at St. Paulinus. May all those who choose to worship be able to do so freely and without fear.
