US Churches on High Alert after Pro-Life Ruling and Warning from US Department of Homeland Security


The U.S. Department of Homeland Security warned Churches across the USA of radical a pro-abortion group who called for a “Night of Rage,” or violence when Supreme Court overturns Roe vs. Wade.



Federal law enforcement officials advised churches to increase security after learning that a radical pro-abortion extremist group plans a “Night of Rage” once the U.S. Supreme Court releases its abortion ruling this summer.


According to the diocese memo, department agent Jesse Rangel said an “extremist group” is “calling for extreme violence” against churches and pro-life organizations.
The USCCB, "So far there have been at least 120 attacks against Catholic churches, this number is constantly growing." In the USA, the number of attacks on Catholic places of worship has increased significantly. The US Bishops' Conference sees a connection to the strong Catholic pro-life position. In the current "Religious Freedom Week 2022" in the USA, the US bishops are calling for prayer. The USCCB released the text BEFORE the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the pro-abortion Roe vs. Wade ruling. After the lifting on June 24, 2022, it is to be feared that attacks on the Catholic Church could continue to increase. (USCCB) 

In May, Politico published a leaked draft ruling that showed the Supreme Court overturning Roe.

The memo likely refers to threats from the pro-abortion extremist group Jane’s Revenge, though it does not mention the group by name, according to Newsweek. On its website and on posters seen in Washington, D.C., the pro-abortion group calls for a “Night of Rage” once the Supreme Court releases its ruling on the Dobbs case.

“To our oppressors: if abortions aren’t safe, you’re not either,” one flyer read, according to CBN News.

The name Jane’s Revenge been painted in graffiti at vandalized  pregnancy centers and churches in several states since the leak, and the group reportedly took credit for firebombing a pro-life organization in Wisconsin.

According to Newsweek, in the urgent memo, a diocese was told that “large groups with cells nationwide have already been discovered ‘casing’ parishes, including here in California.”

The diocese shared the information with its clergy and staff, urging them to watch for suspicious activity and “develop a plan” to address it, the report states.

According to Axios, a Department of Homeland Security report in May warned that radical abortion activists are threatening to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their law clerks if the court overturns Roe. The report indicates these pro-abortion extremists also plan to target churches and other places of worship.

State and federal Republican leaders have sent letters to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, demanding that his office crack down on extremist groups like Jane’s Revenge.

A gunman was arrested outside the home of Justice Brett Kavanaugh after the man said he planned to kill the justice, according to police. The leaked draft showed Kavanaugh as one of the justices who agrees to overturn Roe.

The FBI announced an investigation into the pro-abortion violence last week.

The Supreme Court is expected to released its final ruling on June 24, 2022.
