Thomas Daniel "Tim" Conway has died. He was born on December 15, 1933 and died on May 14, 2019. He was an American actor, writer, director, and comedian. He was famous for his many roles particularly on The Carol Burnett Show, and for supplying the voice of Barnacle Boy in the cartoon series SpongeBob SquarePants.
Conway was born in Ohio, and grew up in Chagrin Falls. He was of Irish descent on his father's side and Romanian on his mother's.
Conway attended University in Ohio, where he majored in television and radio. Conway enlisted in the United States Army, where he served between 1956–1958.
Conway was married twice. He was married to Mary Anne Dalton from 1961 until 1978; they had six children together. He was married to Charlene Fusco from May 18, 1984 until his death. Among Conway's children is radio host Tim Conway, Jr. Conway and his second wife, Charlene, lived in Encino, California.
When interviewed by Raymond Arroyo for EWTN on October 2, 2014, he explained that he had converted to the Catholic faith. In 2018, Conway was diagnosed with dementia.
In 2010, Conway put on fund-raising performances at the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre.
He was a spokesperson for the United Leukodystrophy Foundation.
Conway died on May 14, 2019 at the age of 85 from medical complications.
