A shooter killed three men and wounded 3 others in a shooting Thursday at the Fifth Third Center in Cincinnati's Fountain Square. Cincinnati police Chief Eliot Isaac said the suspect was shot multiple times as four police officers came to the scene. The shooter, 29-year old Omar Enrique Santa Perez, of Northbend, Ohio died at the scene.
The three men killed were Luis Felipe Calderon, 48; Pruthvi Raj Kandepi, 25; and Richard Newcomer, 64. Perez had a pistol and more than 200 rounds of ammunition.
The shooting began shortly after 9 a.m.
The University of Cincinnati Medical Center received victims with gunshot wounds, a woman and three men. Two died, one is in critical condition and one remains in serious condition.
