26 people were killed on Friday, December 14, 2012 in the morning at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. 20 children were among the dead in the Sandy Hook school. The gunman, Adam Lanza, was 20 years old and opened fire, killing himself afterwards. Lanza killed his mother at her home, the principal and other adults. Lanza's father (separated) was questioned in his home. The children killed were between the ages of 5 to 10 years. Newtown, is a small town with a population of 27,000.
