The Call to Fatima, in conjunction with the Capuchin Friary, held a Triduum in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary at St Mary of the Angels Church in Dublin on Friday October 7 to Sunday October 9.

The Triduum was attended by several guest speakers including Fr Andrew Apostoli, a Franciscan of the Renewal priest based in New York who has written many books on Our Lady of Fatima.

The other speaker was Sister Angela, who is based in Fatima.

Over the three days people attended from every corner of Ireland north and south and they were all enrolled in the brown scapular with over 4,000 blessed rosaries distributed.

The Friary made available Confessions and prepared a chapel for Eucharistic Adoration throughout the Triduum as part of the preparation for the International Eucharistic Congress to be held in Dublin in June 2012.

The speakers also spent over two hours with the poor of Dublin and some asked to be enrolled in the scapular and over 500 rosaries were distributed to them in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary. The poor were very happy to receive them and they gave the speakers a very warm welcome to their day centre run by the Capuchin Friary.

The local girls’ school attended the church to hear the stories about the three little children of Fatima and many questions were asked by the children to Fr Andrew and Sister Angela. Each of the children was enrolled in the scapular and received rosary beads and a free copy of The Call to Fatima DVD.

The audience were asked what Ireland should do now that it was facing the abyss, to which the unanimous answer was that we should pray the rosary, return to the Ten Commandments and to learn to forgive one another. The book and DVD Call to Fatima have the full authorisation and approval of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the Carmelite nuns of Coimbra, and the Sacred Sanctuary of Fatima.

The DVD recently won first prize at the Saint Maximillian Kolbe International Film Festival.
