EUROPE: LIECHTENSTEIN: PRINCE ALOIS DEFENDS LIFE OF UNBORN BABIES


Prince Alois of Liechtenstein has spoken out publicly in support of unborn life. He specifically defended the life of the disabled. This subject came into public debate over the past few months. The prince said that if the proposal is eventually approved, he will veto it. In June, the Parliament of Liechtenstein rejected a law that would have allowed women an abortion to their 12th week of pregnancy. The final vote was 35 against and seven in favor. Liechtenstein, Ireland, Malta, Poland all protect the lives of unborn children in Europe.
Liechtenstein is 80% Catholic and has a population of 27,000.
