7Benedict XVI at the end of the general audience greeted the Director of NASA, Charles Bolden, who is visiting Rome. A little more than a month ago, in an audio-visual connection from the Vatican, the Pope spoke with the crew of the International Space Station, having come to the end of their mission. At the end of the talk, which included five questions and answers, the Pope saluted the astronauts, wishing them the best in their work and hoping for the success of their mission in the service of science, international collaboration, and authentic progress and for peace in the world.
