VATICAN.VA REPORT: APPOINTMENTS as Apostolic Nuncio
The Holy Father Benedict XVI has appointed Titular Archbishop. Sutri Rev.do of the Archbishop Antonio Guido Filipazzi, Councillor Nunciature, while entrusting the office of Papal Nuncio.

Rev.do Archbishop Antonio Guido Filipazzi
The Archbishop Antonio Rev.do Filipazzi Guido was born in (TMC) on 8 October 1963.
He was ordained a priest 10 October 1987, joining them in Ventimiglia.
He holds a degree in canon law.
He entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on 1 July 1992, he served after his work as pontifical representative in Sri Lanka, Austria, Germany and at the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State.
Knows the following languages: English, German, French and Spanish.

The Pope has appointed Titular Archbishop. Telepte Rev.do of the Rev. Edgar Peña Parra, Director of Nunciature, while entrusting the office of Papal Nuncio.
Rev.do Bishop Edgar Peña Parra
The Rev.do Bishop Edgar Peña Parra was born in Maracaibo (Venezuela) March 6, 1960.
He was ordained priest 23 August 1985, joining in Maracaibo.
He holds a degree in canon law.
He entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on 1 April 1993, he served after his work as pontifical representative in Kenya, Yugoslavia, at the United Nations Office at Geneva, at the Apostolic Nunciature in South Africa, Honduras and Mexico.
Knows the following languages: Italian, English, French and Russian.
PRESS RELEASE OF THE HOLY SEE
The Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone S.Em.za the first anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti, will preside at a Eucharistic celebration, Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 16:30, the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore.
The initiative with a Mass to commemorate the victims of the earthquake was sponsored by the Ambassador of Haiti to the Holy See and were invited to participate in the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See and other diplomatic corps in Rome.
